Mountain rescue
in Grainau
We are a team of 66 mountain rescue men who work as
volunteers for the mountain rescue in Bavaria. Since the founding of our readiness in 1973 our task is to save people
from mountain emergencies, meaning hikers, mountaineers, ski and sled riders
and climbers in emergencies in rough terrain to help. It is also an object of
mountain rescue to preserve the wildlife and the habitat in the mountains in
its beauty and originality, and thus to keep it for future generations.
On the following pages you will find some information
about our readiness. We hope to be able to give you an insight into the
extensive work of the mountain rescue service.
