Clemens Krauss Gravesite - Memorial Plaque
Clemens Krauss (1893-1954), a famous Austrian musician and conductor
Clemens Krauss was the founder of the Vienna Philharmonic's New Year's Concert. He spent his holidays and his twilight years with his wife Viorica Krauss-Ursuleac (a celebrated Richard Strauss singer) in Ehrwald. A memorial plaque was erected in his memory at his former home (Innsbrucker Straße 22). The gravesite of Clemens Krauss and Viorica Krauss-Ursuleac is at the Ehrwald cemetery.
